Timeline: 24 weeks
The dilapidation project involved the cleaning of the exterior building, including guttering and drainpipes, the removal of carpet tiles, ceilings, window film and wallpaper plus the dismantling of partitioning. The second part of the project involved a complete refurbishment of the existing building across four floors, the renovation of the underground car park and the building of an extension to the ground floor to allow for restaurant use. Works also included a mechanical and electrical installation package that is expected to reduce the building’s energy bills by up to 50 percent. Royalty House has been transformed to its former glory for future tenants and has given King Street a landmark building
