When St Joseph Chambers required a rapid relocation into a new workspace directly beside the High Courts, Saracen Group was appointed to deliver a fast-turnaround project that maximised functionality within a highly restricted space. Although small in scale, the move demanded exceptional planning, detailed design work, and precise logistics to meet the chambers’ operational requirements within just two weeks.

The project involved relocating the chambers into a compact office within an older, multi-tenanted building with restricted access. These constraints placed significant emphasis on space planning—ensuring every element of the layout was considered, efficient, and fully aligned with the client’s working style. Saracen’s design team focused on creating a workspace that delivered smart flow, effective storage, and a professional environment suitable for legal work and client meetings, all within a limited footprint.

We’ve maximised every inch of available floor space by incorporating sliding pocket doors throughout the design. This simple yet effective choice eliminates the need for traditional door swings, allowing the layout to feel more open and functional. The result is a seamless flow between rooms, improved usability in compact areas, and a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic that enhances both practicality and style.

Careful logistical coordination was essential. Working in a shared building with tight access points required strategic scheduling, discreet movement of materials, and strict attention to minimising disruption to other occupants. Despite these challenges, the team maintained a smooth programme throughout.
