Saracen Group on site in prestigious Centre Square Middlesbrough

20 October 2020

Saracen Group is further strengthening its portfolio of projects in the north with a start on site for global call & business process management centre Firstsource. The project is underway at the new First Source premises at Centre Square in Middlesbrough.

The £1,4 million pound 40,000 square foot office fit out will accommodate more than 700 First Source staff members.

After many design consultations our design team took a great deal of time to understand the clients business ensuring all area’s make the best use of space and are fit for purpose for each relevant department.  As the client has a large number of staff the space was planning was of huge importance, the design takes into account social distancing for the exiting times while still creating a modern and unique space which is adaptable for the future. A  large canteen and breakout area was an imperative part of the design brief, therefore a bespoke canteen area will be constructed on the ground floor to ensure staff well being.

IT infrastructure  is integral to the client and in turn the fit out. A completely bespoke server room is being built to accommodate complex IT requirements which include all power and data considerations throughout the building. The fit out will also require a complete re design of the mechanical and electrical elements to accommodate the new layout as well as ensuring operational efficiencies.

The project programme has been structured to accommodate all COVID-19 risk assessments to ensure the safest delivery of the project for all our team and the surrounding community. Our team is working under a tight deadline and will be completing the project during the December period with a grand opening in early January 2021.

We are delighted to be completing the fit out for this global giant. Firstsource are an important client we have assisted with workspace consultancy over the years and we look forward to further strengthening our relationship with them.
